Thursday, Oct 10: We expect the Savannah Port Pilots to cease vessel traffic at some point Thursday due to offshore winds / seas. However, we plan on continuing to work vessels that are at the dock.

Hurricane Milton preparation – Oct. 8, 0930 hrs Update
Hurricane Milton’s current projected track shows it moving across Florida Wednesday night – Thursday.
- For Savannah, a cold front should help steer it away from Savannah.
Indications very little rain, no tornado activity.
Savannah winds peak late Wednesday night at 45-50 mph offshore.
- For Brunswick, offshore winds of 50-60 mph 10 miles offshore for late Wednesday night into Thursday afternoon 1400 -1500 hrs. (No vessels planned to arrive until Friday).
Nevertheless, we are prepared for changes to the storm track and can make fast operational decisions and will keep you fully informed 24/7.
