The following operating hours and rules will be observed at Georgia Ports Authority’s Garden City Terminal, Monday – Friday unless noted.

• Gates 3 and 8 open at 0600; closes at 1700
• Gate 4 opens at 0400; closes at 1800 (Reefer services begin at 0600)
• Standard / Dry container pick-up cut-off is 1630
• Standard / Dry container drop-off cut-off is 1700
• Reefer pick up cutoff is 1615
• Reefer drop-off cut-off is 1645
• Gate moves after cut-off times require SSL overtime authorization
• Saturday Gate – Gate 4 only – opens at 0800 and closes at 1700: work through the lunch hour 1200 – 1300 (flex lunch). (Dry containers only, No Reefer gate). Cut-off for pick up is 15:30 and cut-off for drop off is 16:00.
• Holiday hours subject to change

Requests for Weekend and Holiday Gates

Garden City Terminal Sunday gates and Ocean Terminal weekend gates are available at the request of ocean carriers. Requests must be emailed to [email protected] by no later than 1:00 p.m. the day before the gate is desired. If container gates are opened outside normal working hours, Gateway Terminals, LLC will bill the applicable ocean carrier(s) pursuant to its established rates. 

Operating Rules:

• Gates 3, 4 and 8 are for containerized transactions only
• Commercial vans and loose freight should be directed to Gates 1 or 5
• Bobtail drivers must use Gate 3, 4 or 8. Incoming Bobtails will be processed at gates of entry
• Bobtail trucks should exit through Gate 3, 4 or 8.

Any long-term changes to the current operating hours will be communicated accordingly. Any daily extensions of operating hours will be communicated through our current Overtime Authorization Form.
